I don't feel that way at all. I wanted something fast, but smooth and my 3.5CVT does just that. You can't get that in a Lancer, plus I love the look of my coupe-- the lancers look ridiculous with their huge wings. Sounds like it's your own darn fault for not knowing what you wanted before you signed the papers! Good luck.

I am well off but by far not rich, and if you read the post I did test drive. And I will agree with you maxentropy on your opinion with the lancer, it is definitely a kids car which is why I outgrew mine and wanted something along the same premise with a bit more luxury and more "adult" looks. Now spockrock you are comparing a 2.0T with a 3.5NA, not a very fare comparison if you ask me but comparing the 2.5NA with the 2.0T you get a 7.5 to 6.7 respectively. Now considering I have the 3.5NA motor I need to compare the 3.5 to the 3.2 you get almost an even 6 seconds between the two. Now I have the CVT which of course is a factor in the slower 0-60 times. But you guys are right on the point that I shouldn't have purchased the vehicle. However I did do what I consider an ample amount of research which showed that I would like the car. After having it for a bit of time it's con's start to show through a bit more and that is exactly what is happening. I find it hard to believe that with all the people on this forum everybody is 100% happy with the car. But if that is the case then good job on finding a car that suits your needs to the T and out performs every other car (in your opinion) in it's class.

Well, if you're looking for people who hate the AC as much as you do, an Altima Coupe fan forum is not the best place to find a sympathetic ear! I mean, that's tantamount to a Red Sox fan going to a Yankees forum and asking "Does anyone here hate the Yankees??".

While there may be certain things that people dislike about this car (I don't think anyone is REALLY 100% happy with EVERYTHING), for the most part we enjoy the style, ride and performance given to us for the money spent. Most people here are at least 95% happy with this vehicle. Also, not everyone here is/was looking for a car that "outperforms everything else in it's class". Apparently, this is something which is important to you and the AC didn't cut it for you because of this. However, this is NOT the case with a lot of people here. I, for one, did not purchase this car so that I could beat all of the kids in street races. I purchased it because I liked the styling, options and the comfy ride. I got the 3.5 for the extra kick, not to race ricers on the freeway.

Anyway, back to my point, this is the wrong place to find people who dislike the Altima Coupe. As a matter of fact, this is the WORST place to find people who dislike the Altima Coupe.

Thanks for reading and I hope that your new car satisfies all of your needs.

Ugh... NO.

So you wanted a sports/luxury coupe? Definitely should've went with a G37 or any G coupe. Seriously man, this isn't a nominal sum of money we're talking about. Next time you take the leap do some research!

I Agree, if you wanted unbiased opinions of the Coupe this is not the place to find it. You have to love your ride to take the trouble to seek out a forum full of people who feel the same. In your case this is probably just the first hit that came up on Google when you felt like complaining. I compared the Altima Coupe to the Camry, Corolla S, Civic, Accord Coupe, VW, Mini-Cooper, Suzuki, Hyundai and others before I bought it. I have driven and worked for Toyota for the past 8 years, but I chose the Altima Coupe and am very glad I did. The Coupe is a sporty car, not a "sports car". It has enough extra horsepower to make 3rd gear a lot more fun than any of those others, but it's not a 0-60 machine. The fact that it's FWD limits your traction if you want to race from stoplight to stoplight, but that is nowhere near why I bought it. I just wanted something that's fun to drive, is extremely well designed and turns heads. I got that with the Coupe. You are obviously looking for 0-60, power, torque and all the other things you're not going to find in this price range. Sounds like you were trying to get a $35,000 performance car without paying for the privelige. Set your sights a bit higher and spend the money if that's what you're looking for. You might then be as satisfied as all of us are with our Coupes.

To me, the beautiful look and feel of the a/c outweighs any negatives it has. I'll admit, there are some things I'm disappointed with, but that's only because I'm so into my coupe that I don't want there to be anything wrong with it.

The Audi is "only" $5200 more (at base), with less options, than the 2.5S Nissan.

..That's a ridiculous comparison.

For price, you have to compare the 3.5SE to the Audi 2.0T.. that IS fair. Both are about 26k... and you still get more luxury in the Nissan.

Interior wise, the A/C is really an older model G35, so unless that car was insulting to your sensibility a few years ago, then you're gonna have a hard time being satisfied with anything.

The quality is comparable to every other car in it's price range, or better. It's no luxury car, but very nice.

Hahahaha, that was funny! With 12,000 miles now on my coupe, I love it even more than when I bought it. Granted, some things have irritated me. I used to hate the notchy feeling shifter (6MT), but its smoothed out over time (or I've gotten used to it) and now I'm cool with it. I get aggravated every now and then with the stiffness of the ride, but I'm mostly okay with it (course, I did lower it, so its stiffer than stock).

I got no problem with the "quality" of the car, and to me, the interiors just fine (course, I got the leather, I liked it much better than cloth). I did tons of research, and tons of comparison shopping, with multiple test drives of various cars (including many G35s, and, believe it or not, I liked the AC better than comparably equipped G35s. I believed when I bought this car, and still do, that for the money its the best all around purchase for the money.

I gotta say, next time you purchase a car, something about your buying behavior needs to change, or you may repeat this experience. Its unfortunate and costly that you have, and your exprience is certainly in the minority for coupe owners. Your expectations were not in line with the cars ability to deliver. That, moreso than the car, sounds like your primary problem.

Nobody is 100% happy with any vehicle purchase. I know from my standpoint it's a tad crazy and financially unwise to purchase a new car only to trade it in 3 weeks later.

Which Audi did you get? I assume you would not go from an EVO to a A/C 3.5 to a Audi 20t so I assume you got a base 3.2 or did you upgrade to a quattro? If so, that's a good jump in pricing over an A/C ($36,300 - $38,400 base for the quattor models) and if the Audi was something you really wanted I find it hard to understand how you could even begin to select a FWD coupe with CVT when you are used to having AWD and a normal transmission.

Regardless, enjoy your Audi and good luck to you.

I'm not happy that I had to pay for it. I would however have been ecstatic if someone gave it to me, lol.
