well this past weekend i finally got my new kade swapped in.i have a obd1 95 s14 and the motor was out of a obd2 97.that went in easily once we swapped the lower intake manifold and o2 sensor.but my problem is when we were pulling the auto transmission i noticed it had a crank angle sensor . i was under the impression that obd1 s14s did not have a CAS and i could use a s13 manual trans when i do my 5 speed swap in the spring.does this mean that in fact i DO need the s14 trans and CAS? what most ppl have told me was that i didnt

thanks but i know it will work. i was just confused because i have been told by multiple ppl that the obd1 s14s didnt have a CAS .also i do have the dvd. it answered so many questions i just really wanted to use the s13 trans i already have and run my car without throwing ANY error code sigh . guess its time to drill for the CAS or trade for an s14 trans

I was wondering about this, I have always heard that OBD1 S14's didn't have an CAS either. (I have a 95 OBD1) well when I changed my clutch, my car has one too.
