Okay guys i got this problem with my car it just started doing. it started doing this ticking noise like around 2,500-3,000 rpms when i take the second spark plug cable and i rev it its gone if i put it back the noise is back. what you guys think i think it might be a bearing that's going bad.

pullign the spark plug wire wouldn't keep the internals form moving so i don't see why it would not be making noise while its unplugged if you pull the spark plug physically out does it not make the noise?

Sounds like rod knock. When you pull the plug wire it keeps the cylinder from firing therefore taking pressure off the piston and rod so the noise quits.

dam it is going to be the rod knock, i am going to have to do it the ghetto way just replace the bearings what you guys recommend i just got fired and with little bit of money.

also it only does it like 5 minuts after its on. if i rev it while i barely turn it on it wont make the noise

Thats because you spun the bearing and its barely out of round but if you don't stop running it, it will get worse. Then the rod will break.

you should probably stop driving it till you can fix it. if you keep driving that thing your gonna end up making it worse and paying more to fix it

its a valve knock....hate to say it...but after those rpms my knock went away also...and before it it wasnt there...start you car up and see if it does it...mine did sometimes and didnt...if there is a squeel when u rev it like mine then goodluck.........like i said i HAD a valve knock then the engine blew up...so DONT drive it
