Hey guys. I am posting for a friend of mine.

He has a 1988 JDM S13 with a CA18DET

He currently has the stock ECU. We are putting in an AEM wideband O2 sensor (that uses the UEGO O2 sensor). We had heard that in some situations it is possible to replace the stock O2 sensor with the UEGO sensor and splice it into the stock wiring so the stock ECU and the AEM wideband can both use it.

Is this possible on his car and if it is, how would we wire this up?

Found my answer elsewhere. Sorry guys.

If anyone is wondering, the way you would set this up is with an AEM Wideband UEGO Controller Module.

You still need to run an oem narrow band for the ecu as well. The output signal of the AEM unit has too wide of a signal range. Stock O2's have a 0-1 volt signal as to the AEM using a 0-5 volt output signal.
