Okay so I have had my pulleys sitting in their boxes by my tool bench for about a month now. I ve researched all I can on how to install them and feel pretty confident I can do by following the tutorials on here. I was wondering though if anyone had theirs installed and if so how much did you pay? Their is a shop not too far from me and I was going to go and get and estimate from them to see if it was worth my effort or not. I don't really have anywhere to do it is the problem. I don't have a driveway so I would have to do it at night on my street... so ya their in lies the problem. Get back with me soon, I'm trying to get this done ASAP.

I've never done this on my G, but on I installed a set of UD pulleys on my BMW several yrs ago. It was a super simple job. Took about 20 minutes and required all of three tools (one ratchet/torx socket for the belt tensioner and another 6pt socket for the pulley bolts.) You pretty much just remove the belt, unbolt OEM pulleys, replace with UD pulleys, replace belt. I couldn't imagine this being a difficult job, except maybe on a car with a transverse engine. Not sure what size tools you'll need for the G, but the job itself is totally straightforward. If you can change oil, you can probably figure out how to unbolt a couple of pulleys.

Thanks, I did not think it was going to be too too hard. I just wanted to check on how hard it really is, how long it takes ( since I'm in sav in the summer its 95+ and 90+ humidity), and. or how much it has cost someone to see if it is really worth my time or not.
