Why would'nt superuber aunnounce to us that his Q is for sale?

What would compel him to sell it?

Wonder what the reserve is? 15,500

If the Q is at a great price and everthing is in good condition (you know what to check for ) then go for it if you have the money and time for 2 Q's.

There are words of wisdom. I think I remember 10K Amsoil OCI also.

Most people selling a car are sellling a set of problems. Your job is to understand them and the cost to remediate them and what the end result will be.

I couldnt believe it.....I saw the Q w/nitrous on ebay and clicked on it.thought hey that looks exactly like.It is!!! funny thing Ive got two Qs and started contemplating things.what the shipping cost to K.C. would be before I realized what I was doing. was surprised there were no posts here first, most of all....maybe that was out of respect.two very good points above....still wondering about that reserve myself.

I did my job and bid 600 bucks. I guess the reserve is more than that.

I swear I have seen that Q in somebody's signature here on the Q forum. Could that be a fellow NicoNaut's car?

I don't recall the specifics (I think it was about edits of religious postings??), but he left NICO a while back, Was very upset and decided to take his stuff (posts, etc) and go elsewhere.

He mentions in the listing he got a 959 that he's converting to street use.

I never met nor knew him personally, but would consider it, but I expect his reserve to be much closer to 10K than I'd ever be willing to go.

Never a fan of the wheels nor V8 logo, but those are easy fixes.

But 959 were designed for street use, but not for the US.

Think there are only 4 legally in the States. Bill Gates and Paul Allen have one each.

About $1.5M each before conversion.

The seller said he has a $15K offer from CA. Wonder why he left the board. Outside of all the know-it-alls, VIPs, youngins, arm chair Techs, old farts and wiseacres its a great place!!!

definitely THE cleanest Q ive ever seen.. Its only got like 90k miles!

Not to mention the recent rebuilt transmission. It'd be a good car to have!

The only thing i really dont like about it is that its SO CLEAN that you'd almost feel bad about enjoying it how it should be (on the track).. My Q has enough bumps and bruises that I really dont care!

I've had the exact same reaction as another member...

would not trust a car with a nitrous bottle. In a Q, it's borderline blasphemy. but that's just my opinion.
