Just buy an OBX header off ebay...around $200 shipped new. I had no problem installing it by myself on my '93 GXE...

You can buy the obx headers off of ebay but there may be some fitment issues that you may come across when you install it. But there minor & well worth the install for the extra HP gains you get in the long run.

i was going to buy that OBX 4-2-1 headers a while back, then i read some negatives about it in this forum, that the welds are not so good.....it was months ago...but i think i'll take your word for it, since i wont be using the car for drag racing, then it should hold then.

The 1st gen built obx headers were garbage. But the 2nd gen ones, the ones on ebay now, are nice. The welds are much better, the mandrel bends are right on point and it no longer has the altenator and front engine mount clearance issue. Just about 1/2" of the block needs to be shaved down where the flange meets the downpipe other than that Ive had them for a yr no problems and im heavy with the gas pedal. Just make sure that your getting real obx ones and not knock-offs. There should be an upper and lower plate welded onto it that says o"High quality exhaust obx R racing exhaust" Heres a link to the seller i purchased from.
