nice driftaholic, iam getting S tech snad GR2's on the 28th, and is there any draw back form those springs. wierd spring rate or is it stiff? i wanted the AGX but i got such a good deal i couldn't resist..cool yeah i want to get my Se's painted black too, but that looks a bit to glossy, i perferr Flat, still nice though, but i digress.A review on those s techs would be much appreciated.

If you are hoping to get more performance out of the gr-2's than the stock springs you are in for a suprise they are pretty much a stock oem replacement, and you might want to go with the agx's after all, they are def worth the extra money, overall they are better springs plus you get the adjustability.

hmm iam not sure what to believe, you say the Gr-2's are my springs? when in fact they are my Struts... or maybe that was just a typo even so i think i hav ehad blown struts this whole time so i think i'll have some type of improvement..

The S-Techs are probably too much for the GR2's (drop too low, spring too stiff). They'll almost certainly wear out prematurely and may be underdampened...may feel a little bouncy, like my blown OE shocks.

The GR-2's aren't expensive. If you blow 'em, at least you aren't out too much money. Perhaps someone on here can give you a good guess on how long they'll last.

hey badmojo, i thought Tein S-techs were desgined to work with the Oem strut. Seeing as how the Gr-2 is just a replacment for the stock strut's (or so i have been told) why with this lead to premature wear? I would really hate for the springs to make my ride "jumpy".. any more more info would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: oh yeah iam getting an allignment afterward, any suggestions on camber, toe,?and i know iam missing one other one, forgive my lack of knowlege barley getting into the suspension part.. i have the stock Se's with 205-60-15's...

caster is what you left out. how you set those three depends on what kind of driving you wanna do.

i put my agx's and s.techs on at the same time, so i'm not sure how much each one has affected my ride. with the agx's adjusted all the way soft it felt slightly stiffer than with my stock stuff, so i think the s.techs will not be too harsh. i had one blown strut before and the other three weren't far behind.

i used black primer under the paint when i painted my wheels, and with a light coat of the primer it almost looked like flat gunmetal. i almost kept it cause it was so damn pretty!

i have a friend who autocrosses on AGX's and prokit, and he hasnt' felt the need for new suspension. he's got a stock redtop too.we drove eachother's cars and agree that it's the agx's that have had the greatest effect on the handling characteristics. he's just mad that my s.techs actually lowered my car noticeably. if you saw his car you wouldn't think it was lowered at all.
