This seems to be her 'big gun' to try and win the PM seat, so there must be at least some Israeli support for her idea or he wouldnt be throwing that out there.
When is the seat up for grabs?
This would be a huge investment that i doubt would see many short term benefits. In the long term it has a good probability of winning the hearts and minds of the Palestinian people, which is ultimately the only thing that will secure at least some peace for Israel.
They still have their work cut out for them. They are a major terrorlst target in a region that is known to most as a hotbed of terrorism.
If i understood the history a little more id probably talk about appeasement and question the move a little more, but i really just dont know. Gotta sign up for a middle east history class next semester.
sounds to me like you are anti-semetic. typical.szhosain wrote:(FWIW, First, I doubt this UN incident happened. But that is is irrelevant anyway.)
Second (and I have had this discussion with others before), for Israelites to claim that they were thrown out of an area 2000+ years ago and therefore claim to be upset about it still today, should certainly understand the reasons for the Palestinians to be upset about being thrown out of the area just some decades ago (1948). Some of these people are still alive and can see their childhood homes and lands occupied by others.
Fair?
