I replaced the drier in my 2010 maxima's a/c system. The instructions recommends that you add 5ml of oil to the system when the drier is replace. The compressor is a Denso 471-5006. The type of oil the compressor uses is ZXL-100PG, can someone tell me where I can buy this oil? It is not the same as PAG100.

Regards,
Bill

The FSM says it takes Nissan Type S, which is PAG 46. See HA-122 here:

VStar650CL, first of all THANK you so much for your reply. I should have added that I did read that in the FSM, but I would assume that that would be the case if it had the original compressor (and system), however, as mentioned, I changed the compressor last year to a Denso 471-5006 that takes ZXL-100PG oil and I cannot find it anywhere. At I did find a Denso 999-0101 Refrigerant Oil and suspect that it may work, but wanted to be absolutely sure, it is painful working on a/c

Bill

ZXL100PG is PAG46. The 46 is basically an SAE/ISO viscosity grade. ZXL's are Valeo/Zexel identifiers, not a grade.

Thank you so much. Right before your answer I found the following, and you are absolutely RIGHT: https://www.diag-auto.biz/eshop/en/cons ... 250ml.html

Thanks, I really appreciate your answer. Have a great day.
