I'll be replacing my rear door soon and was wondering what type of grease to use for the rear wiper motor. I figure while it's disassembled it wouldn't hurt to regrease it. Does anybody know if there's a specific type of grease that would work best?

That would depend on the type of gears that are in the motor drive assy. If they are plastic, like in my VW, I would guess that some multi-purpose stuff should work just fine.

The grease on my VW's rear wiper gear is sort of semi-clear. I don't think the grease needs to have any special additives, unless you want a grease that is water proof and would stay soft for a long period of time without separating like a marine grease.

If the gears are metal, maybe hub grease would work for you.
