I believe my mechanic has pulled a quick one on me. I cant seem to find my arp assembly grease anywhere :( However i do have a nice sized bottle of Clevite bearing grease....any chance this would work as a substitute? I have a feeling this is a big no-no. Btw why is arp's assembly grease recommended? Is it really that much better than other assembly greases?

No, they are 100% not the same. ARP moly lube is a torque grease, assembly lube is to provide lubrication to a part to keep it from seizing before oil reaches it on first startup.
