I was told the m35x has two thermostats Is that true< Ac started blowing hot air and then I noticed the car was running hot. any correlation with hot air blowing and high temps. and failing thermostat

Somehow I missed this OP, but what did you end up doing?
Hot air in the summer is more AC system related than cooling system related - typically.
But when the coolant temp gauge goes up too, it tells me the fans aren't working to cool the radiator and condenser. Which can be due to the fan module, depending on your odometer mileage.
