Howdy QersQ1. Does somebody make a (might as well be a pair) replacement glovebox hinge??Q2. I replaced my rear pads with cerametallics that had no provision for the sensor. Pad suppliers said to just tie the sensors back. "Rear Brake Pads Worn" won't go away. Tried the series of moves (ala Rosemary Woods) and still can't get it to go out. Someone suggested shorting out the sensors - I don't like spark tests. Should I just disconnect the battery for a while and hope the message goes away? Anyone?TIAjohn

The sensor contains a tiny wire that is opened when the pads wear down.

Why use anything other an oem on rears they are without a doubt the best.....if you look at oem you will see they are ceramic and semi metallic combination.

Make your own hinges find something in metal or junkyard.

Search and you will see that everyone wishes for replacement glovebox hinges. Look at your glovebox and you will see that the problem is that there are no hinges as such, the door is one piece, and that's what breaks.

the voltage running through the wires to the brake pad sensor is tiny. wirenut the wires together, and everyting will go back to normal.

Just be sure to check your pads more often. About mid-year, the Q45 dropped the sensors. I bought later model pads, and they have the squeek bars on them. Problem solved!
