people make 450-500 hp all day and im sure some people have pushed their's further but i wouldn't recommend doing such a thing. There are problems that do arise but if someone is in those number's they normally know what there doing. Some thing's to look out for is the crank collar, people add the extended crank collar, the oil does not return to the sump fast enough at extended high rpm's so people either run a oil return line from the welsh plug in the head. I haven't used this method but what i am told you should use the top welsh plug to the sump, or run tomei oil orifices 1.5mm with the combination of the stock 2.0mm orifices in the oil gallery. The piston's ring's aren't that strong to withstand that kind of abuse. The rb25det is roughly 150 pounds heavier then the KA but a full tank of gas is just as heavy.
