Two questions about my new Altima Coupe

1. Is the nav system supposed to switch automatically from light / dark background based on the outside lighting or do you just have to manually use the day/night button?

2. On the overhead moonroof/light console, there is a small orange light that is sometimes on, what is this for and can it be controlled?

1. From mye xperience if you start the car and have the headlights in the "off" position, the nigdayht setting will be on, once you turn the headlights to auto(and they turn on) or to on the navi screen will switch to night setting. Basically it does it automatically to what i thinks the brightness is outside(light or dark)

2. After about 2 months of trying to figure otu what the little orange light is, it come son if your headlights are on. Im not quite sure why there needs to be a light there to tell you that though. . .

1. It's switches automatically only if you set it to auto (thats the default). If you push the top left button on the Nav that switches it to manual.

2. the orangle light switches on automatically, it's part of the illuminated console lightings. It's there to give an orange glow in the car
