Nissan North America has just (like, 2 minutes ago) released two new bulletins for the Infiniti QX56. According to the documents, "Infiniti will begin notifying owners beginning May 31, 2011." So all the QX56 owners are ahead of the game right now.

2011 QX56 VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL (VDC) REPROGRAMMING
VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN
ITB11-031
[Reference this number when making the appointment with your Infiniti Dealership]

Nissan has recently developed a Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) programming enhancement specific to the QX56. Even without this enhancement, the subject vehicles are safe and pass the applicable safety standards. However, in the interest of customer satisfaction, Nissan will notify existing customers of this VDC programming enhancement and offer to reprogram their vehicles at their convenience.

WHAT INFINITI WILL DO
To ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and continued confidence in your QX56, Infiniti will update the VDC programming in your vehicle to include the programming enhancement at no charge. This service should take less than an hour to complete, but your Infiniti dealer may require your vehicle for a longer period of time based upon their work schedule.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
Contact your Infiniti dealer at your earliest convenience in order to arrange an appointment to have this service performed. Please bring this notice with you when you keep your service appointment. Instructions have been sent to your Infiniti dealer.

If you have additional questions you may contact the National Consumer Affairs Department, Infiniti Division, Nissan North America, Inc., P.O. Box 685003, Franklin, TN 37068-5003. The toll free number is 1-800-662-6200.

Thank you for your cooperation. We are indeed sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

2010 QX56 FRONT A/C ACTUATOR MOTOR
VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN
ITB11-028
[Reference this number when making the appointment with your Infiniti Dealership]

On some 2010 QX56 vehicles, poor performance of two A/C door motors (Air Mix and Defroster) may result in air flow that does not match the selection on the A/C controls, and/or abnormal noise from the A/C system. To remedy this potential condition Infiniti is conducting this voluntary service campaign to replace these door motors at no charge for parts or labor.

Alternative explanation: Infiniti is conducting a voluntary service campaign on certain MY 2010 QX56 vehicles. In some cases, the air flow actuator motors located behind the instrument panel may not function as intended, which may result in the direction of air flow differing from the vent control selection.

WHAT INFINITI WILL DO
To assure your continued satisfaction and confidence in your vehicle, your Infiniti retailer will replace the actuator motors with new parts. This repair is free of charge for parts and labor. The service should take approximately 2 hours to complete, but your Infiniti retailer may require your vehicle for a longer period of time based upon their work schedule. Additionally, Infiniti will double the warranty as it applies to the front air flow actuator motors, extending it from 48 months/60,000 miles to 96 months/120,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The remaining terms and conditions of your new vehicle limited warranty remain unchanged.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
Contact your Infiniti retailer at your earliest convenience in order to arrange an appointment. To ensure the least inconvenience for you, it is important that you have an appointment before bringing your vehicle to the Infiniti retailer for service. Please bring this notice with you when you keep your service appointment. Instructions have been sent to your Infiniti retailer.

If the retailer fails, or is unable to complete the service free of charge, you may contact the National Consumer Affairs Department, Infiniti Division, Nissan North America, P.O. Box 685003, Franklin, TN 37068-5003. The toll free number 1-800-662-6200.

Thank you for providing us an opportunity to ensure on-going satisfaction with your Infiniti vehicle.

Does anyone know what the changes will be to the VDC of the 2011 QX56? I don't want them applying anything that will neuter the power of my QX56!

No specs were given on the specifics of the VDC reprogramming.

I had the VDC reprogram done to my QX.

So far, I haven't noticed any difference in performance/handling.

The reprogram is most likely only noticeable in extreme circumstances.

The VDC reprogramming is not available for any Nissan models, but the Front A/C Actuator Motor campaign is available for certain 2010-2011 Nissan Armadas and Nissan Titan models. If you contact your Nissan Dealership's Service Department and reference #NTB11-040 they will be able to confirm your eligibility for that campaign - or you could PM me with your VIN# and I could do so too, whichever is easier for you.

You are correct! I received my letter and extended warranty on the AC Motors from 36,000 to now 72,000 miles! Funny thing is a couple of months ago I had to have two motor replaced because when I would turn my truck off or switch to defrost, it would all of a sudden sound like there was a rabid woodpecker going bonkers inside of my dash. The motors needed to be replaced, so I guess I have to find out if I still need the new motors or now.
