Oh yeah those guys, they did Apple's ads in the late 90s when the company was turning itself around. Quality work.

I guess they stopped calling themselves TBWA Chiat Day. It was a mouthful.

Yeah its been a while since I've seen an ad that blatantly bashes another brand.

Wasn't it Nissan that posted that ad in Brazil a while back that bashed Ford pretty hard? Saying something about Ford's cars cost 3 grand more so that the execs could have nice things or something...

Yep, one could say a mouthful of Chiat.
I think I'm in the minority but I think they blew it with the tag line. the whole premise of the commercials was comparing the boring luxury of Lexus with Infiniti's luxury that's also fun to drive. That's a great message, but I'm sorry, "inspired performance" has literally nothing to do with luxury. A much smarter tag line would have been "luxury that thrills", which they even said in the lullaby ad or "luxury with performance". At least something to tie in with the rest of the ad.

I think the tagline predates this campaign, doesnt it?

I liked Volvo's early 2000s slogan: Protect the body, ignite the soul.

Yes, indeed! Since 1990 ... :yesnod

I bought my first Q45 in March 1991 - one test drive and I was hooked! Ended up not buying the 1991 300ZX Turbo that I was considering buying as a replacement for my 1985 300ZX Turbo.
