Two head units and one set of speakers?

Basically I'm installing a second HU in the dash of my 09 altima. I've already got a design working to install the HU but now I wonder about how to connect it to the cars stock speakers (w/o bose). Can I just connect both of the HU speaker out wires to the cars or will that cause an overload or problem?
