Somebody else asked me that. I don't even know what the spec-V is, or if we even can buy that here in Canada. He bought that one because the dealership was clearing out the 2009 models. There were only 4 left, so he got a good deal. It cost him less to buy the Sentra SE-R brand new than it cost me to buy my Versa brand new. Buying it now during the year end clearout really helped him save a couple thousand dollars.NEEd2Sp33d wrote:how come he didn't get the spec-V? it's only about $500 more (in the nissan website) and 23 hp more
LOL... Yes I very much agree with you.frankoV wrote:

Actually, the Versa as it is is "originally." That concept did not debut until after the Tiida had been on the market for some time.silverarrow27 wrote:Fairly similar.
Would have looked awesome if they somewhat stuck with this originally!
Yes. And that's exactly the problem. Not many people want a "cute" car. Not even most females I know want a "cute" car. But the Sentra is cute. It's proportions are terrible. And next to the Versa it looks horrible. The Versa's attractiveness is debatable, but at least it does it's own thing. Sure, it shares Nissan common styling cues--but it's got it's own look. The Sentra, however, is unabashedly trying to be a Mini-Altima or Mini-Maxima. And the result is terrible proportions, horrible body lines, and goofy-looking oversized head- and tail lights. It looks like some cartoon caricature of a baby Altima...with a big-eyed clueless Spongebob smile of ignorant bliss on it's face.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:Super cute.
I only have the dealer cover in the front, I have my own cover in the back. I actually like their plate frames because it is not just a frame. It is flat, and has a plastic cover to protect the plate. Right now my brother has the front and back because he didn't have any covers for the plates. I'm sure eventually he will get new ones. I'm just happy the dealer does not put stickers on the actual vehicle.VersaMG08 wrote:You plan on taking the license plate frames off? I always taken them off, don't like to advertise the dealership I bought the car from. Makes the car look all clutered up.
I'm only now starting to accept the Sentra's simply because I've gotten so use to seeing them around. I totally agree with you on your opinion of the styling of the Sentra though. The first time I saw the car I thought to myself Nissan is horrible, how could they make the Sentra to copy the Altima? It's like the Sentra has no personality of its own and because it tried to be a baby Altima is looks a bit retarded. [IMO though]For a few persons I know who has a Sentra that seems to be the reason why they got the car. After realizing that the Altima is costing them both arms and maybe a leg they then opted to "downgrade" to the mini-version which is the Sentra.MinisterofDOOM wrote:... Oh sure without a doubt I would too.Shad0wXCalibur wrote:I'm not all for Sentras but if I could have gotten a deal like that and had a new SE-R for less than a new Versa, I'd hop on that deal in a second.
Slightly [OK, totally] illegal, too, though you aren't likely to be ticketed for it unless the cop who pulls you over is having one heck of a terrible day.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:
