Hey guys, Just wondering about replacing these bad boys for a friends car.

Story goes. We just droped in a Ka motor and done a 5spd. swap. Engine didnt crank up. So found out that it was a bad ECU. So engine crunked up. EPIC FAIL....Infamous rod knock. So I've decided to try to save this motor from its fate and go to someone else hands to have bad luck. So the lowbuck way to perform this is get Bearing Set from autozoo (36 bucks), and crank seal and oil pan gasket. Anything else I should have him grab?

So I will be taking the engine out here in a couple of days and get her set up for the fix. Does anyone have anytips to ease the process?

Please correct me if I am wrong. Should I set the timing to TDC before I pull the crank off and covers? Then Timing Chain? Then remove the crank??Or is there a easier process?

Thanks in advance.

-Eddie (Man when I thought I was done. :-) )
