The red car is the same as the blue one. That was the initial build up. I think it took the owner one or two years to complete this project. An estimated 720 hp (not sure if that's crank or wheel power) and they are aiming for 9 seconds flat in the 1/4 mile.

I had planned on doing this swap and then saw these pictures and decided to definitely do it. I'll be going with a single turbo setup instead of the twin but should still be hella fast. :D

Why Why Why did you have to post that?I have an original 280z in the garage, that's been waiting on a restoration that I don't have time for. Now I know what kind of motor I could cram in there (been looking at just using a regular V8).

Damn you guys. . .

I'd do a VG30DETT before an RB26DETT. Most would think the RB26 is torquier than the VG due to the I6 design however equally modded in one dyno test the VG pulled, get this, over 300 more ft. lb. of torque than the RB did and at a lower rpm. The RB pulled about 10 hp more than the VG did coming in at a little over 700 hp at 7000 rpm. The VG's hp peak was around 6000 or so if I remember correctly. The VG's torque was over 800 ft. lb. at a little over 4,000 rpm while the RB's torque was around 500 ft. lb. at around 7,000 rpm. The VG is a torque monster. Hopefully the VH should be even better as I'm more of a torque person due to the simple fast that:"Horse power is for braggin' but torque is for draggin'." :D
