Ok this has been afgued before but i'm still confused as to weither or not a twin turbo setup like the one on the RB26 will have faster spool up then a single...this is usually the case with sequential twin turbos like on a supra but the RB26 doesn't have that, it has two identical turbos...its my thinking that two smaller turbos could be matched to make the same power as a single turbo but since they're smaller in size they would be able to spool up faster than the single....but would the smaller ones be able to make equal power in the higher rpms?

I guess the concept is still a little new to me, although i've been reading on it for about 6 months...can someone she some light on this for me?

that's the idea... but usually it ends up loosing power in the high end range. The difference in spool-up is usually not that much ~500 rpms most of the time. Which may not be enough of a difference for you to spend money to switch to... up to the user though

Besides all that... it's always fun to say you have TT's... and 2 BOV's can sound better than one....:D

But wouldn't a twin T3/T4 hybrids on a RB26 be more streetable than say a single T88 or T51R? Isn't it possible to have a 700hp car that still spools below 4000rpms?

No Twin twin t3/t4 may not work better that a T-88 or TR51. Its depends on how there sized and what you looking for..

don't forget that you are only running three cylinders to each turbo. Depending on the exhuast pulse sequence it could be sluggish. I would expect a properly sized twin to respond quicker but also fall off quicker where a properly sized single would take a little more time to get up but then swing up power nice and linear.
