Not that I want to go out and build one right now, but I would like to see relavent thoughts on a custom twin scroll dual bb / ceramic turbo setup for the sr20det, that could quite possibly lead to a positive alternative for a future turbo upgrade.

My perception is that it would have little-to-no boost lag and yet have good high end efficiency. And that it would allow someone to pass the 300rwhp cealing on a fast spooling turbo setups. In order to develop a custom equal-length manifold, you would have to make a decision on which twin scroll would be the best for the application, how much boost at what RPM, and what kind of power you would be looking at.

I know that the volvo s40 and japanese sti/evo's come with twin scroll turbo setup's from the factory. Although, I have been unable to find any stats: (ceramic, bb, etc), specifics: (flange, turbo sizes, etc), or even dyno charts for any of these setups.

If I knew where to get a custom twin-scroll setup, (that wasn't uber expensive), all that would be irrelavent.

If you have any insight or information, (besides "man they were doing that in the 80's"), please feel free to post it here.

Buy a scooby one, get a manifold fabbed, tune the car, and let us know how it is! Everything is going to have to be custom, so it's gonna cost a bit of cash and take a bit of time.

For what you want though, I'd just get a gt25r with the .64a/r. Should spool pretty quick and give you a nice top end for less ca$h and less headaches. Just my $.02

BTW, twin scrolls are so 80's.:pface
