Is there any way to possibly custom make an exhaust system that looks like the twin exhaust on the 300zx. I was thinking about just running an extra pipe from the original to the other side but i dont know if that would work. Would it be a huge waste of time if i tried this?

Actually we have found most V/6's like an X pipe just past the cats. I built one similar to the stillen piece for the 350z and found HP on the dyno. DO a proper job though don't half *** it with cheapo parts.

is there enough room to make a twin exhaust with the gas tank on the other side?

i think there is..

anyways, really, x pipe better in v6 instead of straight through? That's interesting.

For the originator...NO, there isn't.

A crosspipe is always better than two separated pipes. A lot of research has gone into this. The location of the crossover between the two pipes can make a difference also.
