I know that this game is nearly a year old, but I just started it today and it's BOSS.

I'm only in the first few hours, I'm playing as Wolf Link looking for the sword and the shield, but I'm already very glad I waited to find a Wii and play that version instead of playing it on GCN. The Wii controls are fantastic.

It's going to take me forever and a day to finish this game, I'll probably just be finishing up when Mario Galaxy comes out, which means I have no idea when I'm going to get around to playing Metroid Prime 3.

I need to work fewer hours, lol.

Zelda = WIN

Yup Twilight Princess kicks ***, although it does feel a little lacking in the side-quest side of things. Wait till you get to some of the later boss battles, they just get better and better as the game goes on.

Great gameplay for Twilight Princess, bosses still seem easy at times but the length of the game makes up for it. Hurry up and finish it cause the Phantom Hourglass is coming out in a few months for the DS.

Just wait...Twilight Princess is one of those games that keeps getting better as the game goes on.

The final boss fight is spectacular.

I am now about 7.5 hrs into the game and it's the awesomest thing that's ever been awesome in the history of awesome.

I want to quit my job and bolt my door shut and just play until I finish it.

That is all....

I took a week off work at launch just to play zelda, my only complaint is the game being a bit too easy....some tough looking bosses ended up being pushovers.

It is terribly easy IMO. I'm not really far yet though. I stopped playing once I passed the part where some person is in a carriage and you have to protect them from those things that shoot the flaming arrows... Either way I was overall unimpressed with the game. Minus the controller it would have been a total dud IMO. But everyone has their own opinions.

I thought it was decent...I only got to the Twilight Castle before I stopped playing. Honestly the whole Wii has been kind of a dud for me...

The wii is just starting to really pickup steam, I agree that the game lineup has been pretty crummy save for a few exceptions (paper mario, mario strikers, TP) but now that MP3 has raised the expectations of gamers all these 3rd partys are actually going to have to try to make good games or they won't sell.

It is definitely the easiest Zelda in my experience. The 3D/3rd person Zeldas have always been easier for me than the 2D ones, though.

I see your avatar changed. That must be the hip new translation of Samus' gunship. I like the Metroid Series more than life itself, the newest being no exception. Prime was like cocaine...

Yeah, Samus' new gunship is the SEX (the swing-nacelle design looks awesome in action). I want one.

Also, Sandworms of Dune (the book I had in my avatar) ended up sucking on a massive scale, so I had to take that down, fast. I hate Kevin J. Anderson. He needs to go back to writing Star Wars books and take his juvenile writing skills with him.

It is indeed a fairly easy game, at least in terms of the fighting.

The puzzles have been pretty simple thus far too, but I'm still very close to the beginning of the game.

I just clared the Forest Temple and I've gone into Kakariko village and just saved, I'm about 10 hours into the game. I am quitting my job today (unrelated to Zelda), but I will have the rest of the week off to sit at home and play through most of it.

I want to make a lot of progress so that I can get through both this and MP3 before Galaxy hits in November.

Windfall weeks off work aside, I don't generally have a lot of free time to play, so I can only get through maybe half a dozen home console games a year.

At any rate, I am very very impressed with the game. Graphically, for being essentially a GCN title, it's absolutely beautiful. It isn't Oblivion or anything, but it's also not running on that hardware and I'm not going to fault it for that. It's a gorgeous game regardless.

I <3 the Wii controls, I don't think it'd be quite as entertaining to just play through it with a Wavebird.

So far I'd rank the game well above Majora's Mask, just above Wind Waker, and just a hint below OoT, although comparisons to OoT are somewhat unfair because it was so revolutionary at the time due to the technology.

No, i think its because before i bought it i downloaded ocarina of time on the wii virtual console to play, and i beat that and twilight princess just seemed more of the same.

I hated mario striker due to its unlimited tackling

me and my buddies set it to no time limit and we can play for 20 min to 40 min without any one making any goals.

I use daisy due to her aoe special, high speed and high defense :D

Tackling can be annoying but if you hit someone who dosen't have the ball it gives the other player an item, so it balances out in the end...........now the hammerbros deke move on the other hand is overpowered.

That is a lot of back-to-back Zelda, although I think it'd be sort of neat to beat OoT and then play Twilight for the first time, see all the gameplay advances, etc...

I'd take a break for awhile, play some other stuff, play through Mario Galaxy when it comes out in a couple months, then come back to Twilight Princess in the new year.

I'm on a Final Fantasy rampage recently. I played through 1, finishing 2, and then I'm going to blow through 3 on the DS.

That will leave V and XII as the only two I haven't beaten.

nothing will touch ocarina of time in my book. i saw my brother playing twilight princess and without the wii controls, i don't think it would be the same. i will say that the lighting seemed a bit too dark for my tastes...........

You know, I'm a HUGE Zelda fan, and I really don't see why Ocarina is everyone's favorite. Twilight Princess, Link to the Past, and Link's Awakening are the best if you ask me.

Of course, I missed out on Ocarina when it was new (never owned an N64) so after all this time the wow factor wasn't there for me. Playing it later on the GCN left me with impressions of a fun Zelda game with terrible texture resolutions and an annoying fairy that needs to die. It was a great game (like nearly all Zelda games) but I don't have random impulses to pick it up like I do LttP or Link's Awakening.

see i think that's what made the ocarina of time so great, it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO ahead of the curve when it came out that you could do nothing but say "damn". it also was interesting to see that you could travel so far in a game without having some sort of boot screen to another level.............and yes the storyline rocked.
