For those who have done the GPS/DVD hack to allow functional use of the screen while driving, have you also tried installing tv tuner? Is it through the satellite antenna or just the FM radio. I was just thinking about this and would appreciate any input.

I have the m45 sport/joureny/tech/aero/tint/ and mes. Trying to think of other ways to top off the car.

An interesting question! I would assume that you need a video feed that goes to the LCD screen ... since the RF is handled by the TV tuner!

If you can find a video input feed, it would probably work. But, I do not know if the panel has a video feed available.

Using the satellite or FM connectors would not work ... these go into radios/tuners for audio - not video or TV. The frequencies are wrong for these tuners!

By nooooo means am I an expert, but wouldn't the AV jacks in back of the center console work to provide an input for the tuner? Assuming your tuner has RCA o/p, I think that once you connect the tuner, and select the DVD player as the source for the head unit, you can toggle between this rear input (where external TV tuner would be connected) and the DVD player.DISCLAIMER: I haven't tried this myself and am not an expert on the AV system in the M, but seems like this should work.
