I am about to turn up the boost in my redtop. Right now I have HKS Front Mount Intercooler Type S and Walbro 255 lph Hi Press Fuel Pump installed (those are the only parts that I have installed that I've read is related to safely boosting higher that is). I am about to put in 550cc injectors, z32maf and tunned ECU. I've read that you do not want to push past 7psi on the stock headgasket. Is this true?

Am I going to be able to run safe with the set up I have planned? I plan on only turning it up to 10-12psi.

Sweet.

Will I be safe turning it up to 13-14 with the intercooler, injectors, maf and tunning I got? I've read about people turning it up that high on stock but that just seems scary.

OEM head gasket is good for somewhere near 20 psi. But remember that is not going to be a tested daily driver, and reliable thing, though I have heard of people doing about that much. It will be most important to tune the motor properly then you should only have to worry about the history of your turbo.

What turbo? That is a question that should have been asked.

ok. On the stock T25 I would boost about 11-12PSI. Really much more than that the T25 won't last long. As far as your engine goes, everything else will be fine at that boost with that turbo.

everyone i have ever contacted in person has had no problems running 14-15psi ont he stock t25...but of course using a fmic.

the stock smic wouldnt be any good past 12psi...but for what you have, you should be easily able to run 13-15psi.....heavythrottle/Phase2/Enjuku all agree

be careful about running high boost 13-15 those websites are talkin about very well tuned motors. Most of us poor people dont have readily available access to a dyno, and can only set the basics. And I have yet to hear of a New SR20 in the states...every motor we get has a history.

so for longevity of your motor and turbo stay around 10-12 unless you get a really good tune and then go up. SR's are very strong and reliable, but playin with the air/fuel mix is a very fast way to kill or injure one.

Good Luck
