So!
I bought some JDM Astar LED White+Yellow turn signal lights. :chuckle:
All was well when I plugged it all in: The white running lights were on and the turn signal worked (although hyperflashing of course). I had to fiddle with the left hand (drivers') side contacts; they weren't quite touching. I think I shorted something, because after putting all the fixtures in the housings and trying the signal again the turn doesn't activate. :ohno:

The data I can present at the moment:
1. The turn signal lights are functioning as running lights.
2. The hazard lights flash correctly (no hyper)
3. The lights flash correctly (no hyper) when I lock the car
4. When I click the turn signal (right or left) I cannot hear the relay clicking, or see either dash light activating

Anybody have thoughts on what to check next? I need to drive this weekend to the city and would rather have working signals in Downtown Seattle (not that anybody looks at them or uses them anyway).

Now that I think about it...I never checked the fuse.
Although, when I checked the engine bay fusebox I didn't see fuse19 AKA the turn signal fuse. Is there another fusebox inside the car somewhere?
The Benz has them on the sides of the dash and console + the engine bay relay and fuses, but the Q doesn't have slots on the sides.

And now I look like I'm ranting. For those that wonder, I have looked in the FSM (I have it) but have not seen a reference to other fuseboxes - as far as I can tell.

It's buried up by the ebrake pedal.

I would try switching back to the standard bulbs and see if that fixes your issue. Then swap back to the LED lights one by one. I once had a socket smoke and melt on my truck because of the LEDs I was trying. Apparently there are two different styles of 3157 circuits... a standard and "CK" style. My bulbs weren't CK compatible.
