Turn signals/hazerds dont work

My buddys 84 Datsun/Nissan 720 4wd suddenly had the turn signals stop working. No clicking sound and no turn signal lights on dash. The part that the turn signal stalk is attached on the colom is very loose, dunno if this would be affecting it. Also when testing the flasher unit with a test light, there is power going through both connectors.

What could be causing the issue?

Chris, until you can provide photos, or rule out the turn-signal switch, etc... There's not much advice that can be made. Test everything, replace what's broken, and document your progress. Beyond that, we'd just be throwing spit-balls at the wall...
