Ok I have a 2002 QX4. Its the wifes car and today she told me that the hazards and turn signals do not work. I check the fuses under the dash. Didn't see anything related to it in the fuse blocks under the hood. The thing is is when you press the lock button on the fob the horn sounds and the flashers work. So the wiring from the lights are good. I am kinda stumped as to why both do not work. The dash turn signal lights are inop and there is no signal clicking from the dash. Are the Hazards and turn signals tied in together?

Alright I found the manual for the wiring and they do go threw the hazard switch so I'll check that and I'll update this thread when found because I found nothing on it so for future search use I'll be sure to update this thread.

I came in here to suggest the hazard switch. If it is unplugged or malfunctioning, your turn signals will not work. If the hazard switch checks out OK, check the flasher unit and fuses.

Well it was the flasher combination unit. I went to the junkyard to look for a pathfinder/qx4/xterra but didn't find anything. I found a bunch of g20s so I decided to look and found the flasher relay was the same and I got it for free they said just take it. So now my flashers work :).

Today my 98 q did the same thing. No turn indicators in the cab and no turn signals out side. Hazards won't engage anything either. I checked all fuses and found that they were ok. Tried looking for the relay and can't find it. Above the fuse panel inside the truck there are three relays. They are labled acc, blower, and ign. Above that tucked behind a wiring harness is another relay but I don't know what it is for. Nothing under the hood is labled for the signals either. Can anyone shed some light on where the relay for the turn signal is?

The combination flasher relay should be somewhere under the steering column. I can't find a diagram of its location in the FSM. When you find it, you can test it:

Or you can just replace it. An OEM flasher unit is ridiculously expensive ($63), so perhaps use this one instead.

Ya I found the same thing in the FSM but can't figure out where it is. If Theory reads this please tell me where you found your relay.

Alright I found it by laying on my back and looking up the dash by the pedal assembly and steering linkage. Its kinda up there and you gotta look hard but its up there. Move some harnesses around and shove your hand up there. I'll take a picture when I get a chance. Its not in any off the fuse panels kinda dumb if you ask me.

Also go to your local junkyard and try to find one instead of buying one. $63 is ridiculous for it from what I seen most nissans use the same s***.

Thanks Theory. I'll take a look today and try and find it.

A normal auto parts store flasher will work, you just have to figure out how to mount it.

Found it. Its on the left side of the pedals against the fire wall. Its black and about the size of 2 nine volt batteries. Picked up a electronic flasher from Canadian Tire for $16. Works like new again.
