Turn Signal Won't Self Cancel

On left hand turns only, my turn signal won't reset itself most of the time. Sometimes it resets, and sometimes it does not.

Anybody else ever had this problem?

I imagine there is spring or something inside the part that is worn or stretched.

Anyway to repair that or should I just find a replacement part?

I see the used part is available on ebay for about $40. New part is also shown as available online for about $75. Not sure I want to spend that many dollars just to save myself from having to turn off the turn signal myself. All of the other functions of the switch work fine.

If I do get the part, the change out looks fairly simple. Take off the steering cover, dismount the old part, disconnect the wire harness, then install new part and replace cover.

Anybody let me know if there is more to it than just this.
