Turn Signal on 1993 J30T

Hello guys, I just bought a 1993 Infiniti J30 (about 148,000 miles) and i'm having a few issues. First issue is the turn signal will not work on it or the hazard lights. Now the tail lights light up when i press on the break but when i go to use the turn signal it doesnt even come up on the dash that the turn signal is on nor does the tail lights flicker. Does anyone have a clue to what this is. Is it electrical? a fuse or maybe a spark plug? your help i greatly appreciated!

Probably a bad flasher unit or connection under the dash. It shouldn't be too difficult or expensive to fix or replace, once you have located it.

where exactly is that located under the dash? is it better for a mechanic to do it or can it be done yourself?

It should be DIY after you've located a copy of the FSM. There's a '94 version that can be downloaded. I can't tell you exactly where it's located, as I've never had a problem with mine.

I suspect that it's located somewhere under the dash in the vicinity of the steering column/brake pedal area. Following the wires from the hazard switch should lead you to it.

Try replacing the stalk i had a similar problem and that fixed it u could go to junk yard or infiniti quickest results is a junk yard u could use j30 stalk.

Sometimes the front signals won't work, because the front wiring has corroded. This is common in cars from provinces/states where road salt/brine is used in winter.

Lift the front of the car up and inspect the front wiring (underside of front bumper) connecting to the turn signals.
