So on my coupe, I've noticed that the amber bulbs are always on. Here's what I mean:

In my opinion, its pretty ugly. Is there a way to make it so that they're only on when I'm signalling? And would it be legal?

You can get switchback led bulbs that stay on white and when you use your turn signal, they turn amber. Look them up on ebay.

I ordered it already for mine but I also ordered a different bulb socket that has 3 pin connectors. Hopefully it works.i know 08 and 09 only have 2 pin because it is only used for turn signal and not corner markers

So is it just plug n play? I looked it up and apparently it'll flash super fast unless you get resistors

Im not sure on the 10s and 11s, hell, im not even sure if the bulbs will work for me since I have an 08... Yup, you will need resistors otherwise they will hyperblink. You can check by looking at the bulb socket. If thiers 3 leading wires,1 for ground and the other 2 for the blinker and corner marker. Then it will be plug n play and all you will need is the led bulb. If the socket is 2 pins then im not sure. If they will work. I will be messing with mine since its only a 2 pin socket and try to get the led light to work. Sorry if this doesnt make since, its midnight were im at.

I had them on my old car, they will hyper blink. The ECu triggers the burned bulb alarm to warn you.

A $20 resistor from Napa was installed underneath the steering wheel to balance the resistance of the circuit.
The hyper blinking sound was a warning (hence annoying, if not fixed) and these LEDs are not worth having unless one addresses that issue.

You would need to get a 50w 6 ohm resister witch cost about $10 a pair on ebay. These can also be put on the power wire to the bulb ( so much easier) so you wont have to get under your dash.

Would you guys trust buying $10 switchback LEDs from eBay? And to install these bulbs, do you have to take off the bumper? I installed my HIDs through the wheel wells and it was a PITA. Not going through that again...

You can also purchase an electronic flasher instead of wiring resistors.

I'm having the same problem, but only with my left light. It's really annoying, anybody know how to fix it? Sometimes its lit up bright, sometimes just normal. Its also the side that was replaced when some idiot crashed into me. Any ideas on how to fix? Local dealership and autozone do not carry any replacement bulbs.

Anybody have more info on changing the bulbs to LED for the 2008 coupe? I'd like to get some, but not sure on all the 2pin/3pin, etc... thanks.

Im currently trying to put that bulb in my lights. I ordered a different bulb socket with 3 pins that would fit. But I had to grind the back end and part of the locking clip in order for it to fit. I blew one lights and felt like a dumbass  my plan wa just to wire into the oem turn signal and get power from the orange drl. But now I have to waiy for more bulbs

I have an 08 coupe and I just installed these switchback bulbs on my car. I had to switch out the bulb socket to a different one. Type in 3157 bulb socket on ebay and it should come up. Its a socket with 3 leading wires to it. Then I connected the new socket to the factory wires for the turn signal. And I got power from the d.t.r. Light from the reflector to hook up the white light so its always on. Ill try to post pics later on today or a link to a video

Not sure if anyone still cares i just came across this thread. Its really simple if you want them off and just to turn on when you signal. all you need is electrical tape... just take the bulb out and you will see 4 wires on the bulb, you just have to put a small piece of tape on two of the connectors on opposite sides of each other pop the bulb back in and there you go... i didn't like the orange as well and i just did this and it works perfect and you can keep the same bulbs and save some $$ btw i have a 2010 so not to sure about the older models
