So as mentioned I have a 03 M45, it seems these do not have much information online about them, my turn signals only sometimes work, when they stop working I also do not have hazard lights when pressing the hazard switch. I thought it might be the flasher relay but everything I have looked at says this one uses a bcm to control the flashers. I have then read that a bad hazard light switch may be the problem. Has anyone run into this problem and found a fix?

Oh and speaking of the flasher relay I have been toying with the idea of putting led bulbs in would that cause hyperflash?

Yes, LED bulbs would cause a hyperflash unless you put in an LED specific flasher relay.

As for your issue, it does sound like BCM. You might be able to remove the BCM and test the pins, etc. or buy a cheap used on EBay from a junkyard puller. I got one for my '11 M56 for $90...you can probably get yours for less.

Thought I would update anyone having this issue, this is on the 03, M45, it may also be the 04 but I have no way to verify that.
There is a flasher relay, it is a $70 part it is not a standard 3 pin. it is behind the stock tape deck mounted to the dash panel I verified this by opening up and digging through till I found the one that clicked when the turn signals were on I got the part from the dealer, only option, the replacement wasn't that bad just a bit time consuming as the info center and everything behind/under had to come out.

I just posted about LED light conversion, if you want to go that route. But, I still have my factory flasher module I can sell you. Make me an offer, i'm in CA.

Thanks, cbird, I ended up buying the dealer part and putting that in, that was what my last post was about. I seen your LED thread, and while awesome, I love leds, I will keep this factory as I do use the remote light flash, the chirp from the horn is optional and not really needed and it only works on locking not unlock

Yes, absolutely, the flasher relay was worn out, as with any part and especially relays electrical contacts wear out and either fuse or fail to make contact, mine the contacts started to fuse and not "flash".
Here is a couple of pictures of the relay.
