Turn Signal and emergency light Problem With 99 i30

Hello I wanted to ask you guys if you had this problem and if you know what it is. My turn signal and emergency lights just stopped working correctly. There is a delay of about 2-5 mins before my signal will turn on and flash once I initiate the signals. I went to pep boys and they said it maybe the flasher relay but they dont carry it. I found one online and am about to get it. Do you guys think this maybe the problem and if it is does anyone have a clue where it is located so that I can replace it. Thanks for all your help!

My guess would be the flasher relay as well, especially since it happens for both signals and hazards.

The relay you're replacing will either be under the hood with the rest of the relays or in the dash near the fuses. I don't remember which, specifically. I'll check to be sure, though.

What year is your car?

Thanks for your help, I just bought the flasher relay and have tried looking to replace it but I cant find it in my car. I tried under my hood and didnt see it and I have been under my dashboard and took out several fuses thinking it would be it but none have a three prong adapter like the one one I bought. Not sure what to do now. Oh to answer your question my car is a 1999 i30. My left arm is getting tired of blinking for me!!

Forget it I found it and replaced it.My signals work again, it is located under the right side of the steering column.
