Hello everyone. Amateur DIY'r. Let me rephrase, AMATEUR DIY'R! Well, my Q-45 blows! Yesterday, I started my 96 Q-45 and the air was blowing out of my defrost vents at high power (stronger than I've ever felt). I turned the A/C and vent off, and it continues to blow. If I turn the car off, the air stops blowing, but as soon as I turn the car on, it's blowing very strong out my defrost vents. I can turn the a/c or econo on and set it to come out my middle vents, or middle/floor vents, and it will stop the air from coming out the defrost vents...but as soon as I turn them off, it's back coming out the defrost vents. Also, I can set the air power level at its lowest setting and it is almost as powerful as it normally is full power. That made me think a resistor would be fried, but would that account for the constant flow of air, or just the inability to control the power? I've been told by a few people to check the relay switches or the power modular, if any...but thought I'd go to the experts before spinning my wheels. Not to lead anyone down a rabbit hole, but a couple weeks ago I did the driver's side valve cover gasket (12 hours of my life I'll never get back) and I didn't get a hose or something snug, because there is a terrible air leaking sound now. I think it is the gasket that connects the throttle body to the intake plenum, but not sure. I don't think the issues are related, but thought I should mention it. Any help/advice is appreciated, as always!
