Turn on headlights, tach (rpm, speed etc) light turns off?

How do I go about fixing this?

I turn on the headlights and my gauges showing my speed, rpm, gas, etc. goes out.

Not to be rude or anything but did you check if the dimmer switch is just all the way off. Deffinatly not tryin to be an a$$ but sometimes the simple things are overlooked. Same thing happened to me while cleaning I accidently turned it off and it took a couple days before I figured it out.

I dont even think the dimmer is connected. I've already tried, messing with those buttons does nothing. I was going to rip apart the dash to see if its wires back there (most likely is. I am finding lots of loose wires)
