I am just wondering how to turn the idle down on a sohc ka? I searched under a few different headings and checked the faqs but only found how to fix irregular idle problems. It idles really steady, just too high. Im wondering where the idle screw is, and which way to turn it, since i assume thats what i need to do to fix it. Thanks for any help

If you look at your TPS then follow the accellerator wire back a few inches you'll notice a lock nut. Undo the nut and turn the other nut and it'll adjust it. Never adjust the tps position though. Like by loosening it's bolts and turning it. I've never done it on this car, but that should be the way.

that will only work if the throttle cable is too tight

there is an idle adjustment screw on the passenger side of the upper intake manifold, towards the rear.

I read somewhere that there is an adjustment screw on the ECU for the idle as well. Not sure how accurate that was though.

The idle screw is just as 1dollar240 said, it's towards the rear of the intake manifold in a cylinderical recess. It'll be a shiny screw, i think loosen it up for lower rpm and tighten it for higher rpm...Well just check your tach on that. Ha ha ha. Remember 700 rpm = MT, 750 = AT for proper idle
