Newsweek has been in deep trouble for a long time. Now this:

The magazine has moved from a fairly centrist news magazine decades ago to a liberal rag recently as it tried to find some footing. I wonder if it will survive the latest round of turmoil and, if it does, the reporting will move to become a less biased source of news.

Hmm. I didn't realize Newsweek was still in business.

It's only available online now... they quit publishing a hard copy at the end of 2012.

They got in financial trouble many years ago and actually merged with The Daily Beast, which explains the extreme shift to the left. They were purchased by IBT in 2013 but IBT didn't take The Daily Beast as part of the deal. I think IBT is still trying to find a way to salvage it while still retaining some of IBT's credibility as a somewhat legitimate news source.

No matter what happens it's still only a shell of the magazine I used as a reference source for high school debates back in the late 1960s.
