Last night My mechanic fixed my new Mafs and Tps. We took 2 test runs and it ran but no pull. The existing wires from the Z32 Maf are still spliced into the harness. We also unplugged the Afc Neo. Car didn't like to hold its idle so we set the idle to 1200.

When I took her out this mourning I drove about a mile and came back. I stalled at the stop sign and noticed some smoke coming from the bay, took a nice lil smell of the plastic burning, popped the hood and put the small fire coming from the wire out with my damn hand( didn't care, yall would of done the same thing)! Take a lookThe Black and White wire coming from the Old Maf wire then to the red wire Is melted all the way to the harness. It comes from the Maf all the way across the top of the fire wall above the fuel filter into the harness next to the fuse box.

What made this wire melt all the way and start a fire? New Maf is wired this way: Power= Into fuse box (ignition I guess)Signal= Directly to ECUGroung= Chassis

well if its wired directly into your fuse box then thats your problem to many volts. thats a 13.4 source its supposed to be as part of IG power from the main harness plug. just look up your power connections there are a million digagrams.. send me a pic of the wiring to [email protected] ill draw you out the right was of doing it.. im bored.
