turbos? yes, fuel methods? opinions please

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

considering blow through carb for my soon to be twin hx35w sbc. low boost until its eagle forged bottom end, but ill do the fuel now. (its 4 bolt main 8.5 comp, plenty strong for a little boost)

so its either the carb+a1000 fuel pump and appropriate regulator+msd 6al and boost timing master or

big injectors+megasquirt+custom intake manifold+a1000(love that pump) and appropriate regulator.

as of now i have it running carb with gm hei ign. works just fine, but will be getting a digital 6 box eventually for ign and rev control.

low boost im looking for an easy 400 whp, eventually itll be more to the 750 ish range, maybe more.

would it be a terrible sin to have a 750whp twin turbo blowthrough carb s13? i hope not cause im leaning that way for simplicity. i only keep going back to fi because i could make it all fit under a stock hood (as of now its too tall and sticks out) i dont particularly like a 240 with a cowl hood..... but still.....hard decisions.

opinions? sway me one way or another!

I do not know thatt much about it. But I would be worried about a 240 holding together with 750HP

itll be 6 or more point cage, mostly seam welded, lots of reinforcement.

and they hold up just fine drifting all day long with 500+hp, farting around with 750 should be a walk in the park. i have no worries.

and if it does bend/break, ill fix it. no worries.

I think it would be easier to tune and drivability would be better with fuel injection. Never heard good things about blow through setups, but I know nothing about carbs either so I'm a little biased.

tuning wise, i have a lot mor experience with fi, and a good friend of mine does and has done a lot of megasquirts, so if i do fi, ill go that route.

the only interesting thing about carbs is that the turbo v8 gn guys are seeing a LOT of power with an otherwise arcane setup.

turbo/carb/fuel pump/fuel regulator and ign box. ive seen some on stock 4blt main 350s in the 500 on a little (10lbs) boost. and idk, it seems really simple, but ill probably go fi just cause i want it to fit under my hood, and itll be more driveable.

im just gonna see what ends up happening on its own, itll have a similar outcome either way. if i come across a good deal on some major parts of either system, then ill just go that route, either way ill be happy.
