As have I, thats why I asked. Guess ill take my luck with online importers and craigslist.I've never personally dealt with them, but I've heard nothing but bad reviews.
Yeah, either way with those motors there's no "stock fan/shroud" anyway so it wouldn't matter. Aftermarket stuff isn't bad, it just tickles me that a lot of KA-T and SR guys spend a few hundred dollars "upgrading" their fan setups from stock to electrics that actually move as much as 30% LESS volume of air.gijoe392003 wrote:I thought about that, but if I swap an RB there wouldn't be much room between the fan and the radiator without major modification to the radiator support or firewall. Unless, if I go the VG route that issue would be easier to deal with.
Just cut and move the radiator forward so you can fit the shroud in there. I'd rather keep my car cool and the motor alive.gijoe392003 wrote:I thought about that, but if I swap an RB there wouldn't be much room between the fan and the radiator without major modification to the radiator support or firewall. and the koyo copper radiator is better than just about any other super thick aluminum core radiator.SX APPEAL wrote:Independent tests have shown that the stock clutch fan+shroud setup moves significantly more air than any aftermarket electric fan setup...
Food for thought
That was very interesting to read. Thanks for that.SX APPEAL wrote:Found something: http://www.drifttexas.com/showthread.ph ... rison-Test
What fan shroud it that?Just cut and move the radiator forward so you can fit the shroud in there. I'd rather keep my car cool and the motor alive.
I tried electric fans but it still gets hot. Also a good intercooler and meth injection will go along way on a hot day.
