I was wondering if I upgraded my 240sx to 9.1 to 1 compression ratio using the nismo flat top pistons would I still be able to add a turbo later on in the future or do I just need to get the 8.5 to 1 ratio forged pistons. Would 9.1 to 1 be too much to handle boost safely or can it work?

it will work, but u wont be able to run that much boost because of the high compression.

Half a point compression is chump change, it'll work fine if the tuning is fine :)

9:1 is a good place to be... It reduces lag just a tad.. improves response, but it's still low enough to be able to make good power on pump gas.Travis

for some reason i thought u said 9.5:1, not sure why, but yea, 9.1 wont be that bad, but u still wont be able to run as much boost as on the 8.5's, it depends on how much u want out of the motor

I'am going to run 9.0:1 forged pistons, with around 12-15 psi of boost as a daily driver. With proper tuning (fuel management) it will be ok. Some people claim to be running 15psi w/stock internals that are producing 9.5:1 compression.
