Thats pretty much one of the best options from a junkyard. There are a few diesel turbo's you could look at from Holset, but I don't know what vehicles they came from.

yup but some of those are smaller and some have different flanges so you will have to make a custom flange

ummm thunderbird turbos, Mekurs, and mustang SVO's had a decent T3 turbo avoid the 87 and 88 caused they used tiny ****ty IHI...volvo's of the 80's used a very small T3 that has been used successfully. MR2 Turbo, Celica All trac, and Supra turbo all used ... CT26 I think, but the mr2/celica ones are smaller. not like you will be likely to find one of those in a yard anyway.turbo DSM's had teeny tiny turbos, again, not likely to find one in a yard and they wouldn't be much use anyway. thats about it that i can think of that I've actually seen in junkyards.

I would stick with what you have- good match for the KA, spools pretty quick....and with the .63ar turbine it doesn't lose power up top. Mine's been working great for me- she pulls real hard from 2500rpm up.....

my boost goes to 8psi and slowly comes down to 6psi at higher rpm. Is this because the turbos a little bit small. If I put a boost controler and set it to 8psi, the boost should stay at 8psi for the full rpm band right?(Not sure)

A couple of sites with lists of OEM turbos...http://www.gamesbbs.com/~turbo....htmlh ... /turbo.htm

That Z31 T3 is a pretty nice IMO. Most OEM turbos have smaller a turbine A/R (0.48)
