Those guys built the turbo that artisanperformance used for the 07 SEMA A/Coupe and thats likely to be included in the turbokit

Just curious, what are you guys going to do about the hood? If I remember correctly, the Artisan Performance coupe needed a new hood to clear that big *** turbo.

Thats exactly what I am talking about. Its a pretty crappy trade off. Nice big turbo, for a nice big tumor on the hood. Maybe someone will make a better hood.

You can always run it without a hood... None the less, I can't wait either!

the answer the designer gave about the hood problem is that they'll either put a smaller size turbo on it or figuring out a new tubing position, it was mostly set up like that for show and so that they could kinda show some quality work because artisan performance will most likely be the ones to release the kit and if you havent noticed they havent had a formal launch of their site so this will be their big thing that will set them apart from other performance site/companies. the huge downfall to this is that if they go with a smaller turbo that we wont be able to get that 448wheel on 10lbs no tune, but if they do reduce the size of the turbo there is nothing stopping us from upgrading it ourselves

i hate to flame you again bigred, but would you please go back and read what you wrote and understand that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. dude, why do you even post?

aside from what i just said,

your factory hood would cost as much to fabricate like the foxmark sponsered a/c hood as the turbo kit will. the artisan turbo charger kit if ever released for retail sale wouldn't need the monster scoop to fit the oversized turbonetic charger. it just wouldn't sell as altima owners aren't really the richest of folks ready to drop 7k to 10k on a mod regardless of hp.

WAH?!?!08altima35, seems like you want to email artisanperformance for yourself. The response i got from them on 12/20/207 was that they were going to use a 60 series turbo. Which was a smaller turbo used on the Sema car.

All i see is a big hole in the hood leading straight into the turbo. That would last for maybe 5000 miles?

WHERE'S THE EFFIN' AIR FILTER??????

You waste your time on ricer civics?

Also, that thing has no air filter because its for show. I bet a lot of people wouldn't even be able to locate the turbo if it had the air filter on.

Not even close to 5000 miles. The first time it rains, turbo's done. However like spike said, it is just for show. A production version would defiantly have a filter.

Gentlemen please lets refrain from a flame war.

Going back to the air filter. I understand it was for show/demonstration, but there isn't even any sort of room for an air filter. I don't see any "intercooler" possibilities with that setup either. I think super charger is the most logical way to go for this car

Kinda true on that one...there are plenty of insanely smart people that are considered retarded. They may be ridiculously smart, but they're still considered retarded for a reason.

yea its pretty insane what they can do with a civic..i heard someone put a ferarri engine in a civic with transmision running thru inside the car lol some serious smart ppl

this is kinda OT but my buddy who owns heavily modded A4 and he just put a stage 3 turbo on it...apparently 350 crank hp and about 300 hp to the wheel on that lil 1.8 L...imagine putting a stage 3 turbo on 2.5 QR engine lol i know it will never happen but god damnnn
