If you get a correct ECU tune you shouldn't need to tune it with the SAFC or mess around with a different fuel pressure regulator. You also don't need to adjust your base timing because the ECU tune will retard the timing.

I don't think most of the gauges are really necessary as long as the tune is correct and the cooling system, etc. is running properly to begin with. They will give you clues if things start to go wrong, but you would have to be paying proper attention and be able to understand them. I doubt anyone could be expected to watch 6 gauges, speedometer, tach, gas level, three mirrors and the road all at the same time. Besides you would need to get a wideband O2 sensor to go with the AFR gauge if you wanted to use it for tuning.

For the amount of money you are shelling out and questions you're asking I'm thinking you would be better off asking a local shop to do the install and tune a standalone ECU for you. You get local service and someone else you can blame (and sue) if the engine blows. Some standalones or addons to the standalones can track all that information for diagnostics or show digital gauges on a screen if you really want that information. With some of the more upscale boost controllers, you don't need a boost gauge because the controller can display boost.

well said..

yah, I dont see the point of getting a piggyback if your getting your ecu tuned for the stuff your tossing in...

This isn't the SR forum...GET OUT...lol.

Seriously though, if you get a tuned ECU they are just generic tunes. Not really perfect across the band. If you use a SAFC or similar you can alter the fuel just enough to make it perfect. People have been using this method with JWT stuff for years with great success.

Aftermarket FPR's enable the use of high flow pumps while keeping a steady fuel pressure. This also allows you to raise the fuel pressure, effectively increasing the hp rating of the injector.

IDK if he needs the fpr for 8psi, my stockers hang with 11psi, at 59psi w/out vac. Something like 300cc, I didnt think it would work but damn sure does, non IC'd though... plx stays at 11:1. oh and the 11psi was just luck I expanded my maps enough for. Also this is with a t25(flows way less air).

imHO get an afc if your gonna use a jwt tune, no other comment on that.

really big list compared to mine but whatever

I dont see anything about oil feed/return lines. Fittings to do so, turbo pressure restrictor.....

i have the lines just for got mention it...will i need restrictor for the oil line???and i dont need a fpr then...never mind the jwt tune i was just throwing that out to see if they were good, and so far a lot of people have been whatever on that...so what would be the best ecu tune for the lowest price i can get???also how much boost can i push out if i got stock internals, with stock headgasket and head studs, without blow my engine???thanks for all the help...

I like adjustbale fuel pressure, so I'd say get one. The oil restrictor isn't needed. If the return setup is done correctly then you won't have oil problems. Turbonetics themselves states that a restrictor should be the last thing used to avoid oil leaking past the exhaust seal.

well, use a 5/8 line or so, have no bends or restrictions like kinks etc. Have the oil return fitting on the pan up high enough to be out of the oil. Basically avoid anything that may cause the oil to pool and backup.

really? wd I have not heard that, learning daily is the ****, thanks nico.

I just might try running without mine next time I pull the turbo, I dont have ANY oiling smoke, just a little from my rich tune. anyways I cant go off stating prices or companies, you will need to research that on your own and make an informed choice I use a willem and diy.

your oil line do just what wd said, if it oils get a restrictor.
