Whats up everyone?

I'm buying 90 240sx with a bad KA block. I was considering a sr swap but decided to just turbo. Now I have to find a block...

My goal is 375-400whp. It's going to be my daily/every-once-in-a-while track car. How will this work? (copy and pasted off of ka-t.org)

T3/T04E 50 Trim .48/.63 (garrett)Turbo Manifold (ebay)Blow Off Valve (hks ssq or greddy)External Wastegate (what kind?)12"x24"x3" FMIC. (probably ebay)2.5" or 3" downpipe. (what kind and size?)Exhaust 3" (kind?)

Block Internals: Cam (brand and size?)Forged Rods (waht kind?)Forged Pistons (kind and size?)Stock Crank Plus your typical rebuild items. (that would be?)Headgasket (size?)

Fuel Control Standalone. (aem fic?) 720cc Injectors. (should I go bigger? brand?)Wideband O2 Sensor.(kind?)

Other:Boost gague (any kind)Boost controller (electronic)Oil lines (how much and what fittings do I need?)

Alot of this stuff I'm going to find used. This is a budget build. Like I said I want 375-400whp. I don't know much about na-t so be easy :p

EDIT: should I get this kit to start instead? http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/ka24et.html

Thanks.

Budget build and 375-400 whp should never be used in conjunction with each other. That being said, the JGS kit is a very nice kit, one capable of your power goals. Turbo parts aside, you are going to have to look into tuning for a reliable setup. At least 700cc injectors and a z32 maf should be used, and you should get a rom tune. Read all of the stickies at the top of the KA-T forum and you should have enough knowledge to put together a reliable setup.

Haha, I hear ya.I've learned a lot already by being here...

But anyway, lets say I want 230whp right now, so i can save for the rest, would I need fuel stuff? I would get a new cam, pistons, connecting rods, and a fuel pump just for now. I need a new cam pistons and connecting rods right now anyway. I'm trying not to spend more than it would cost to get me to 400whp vs. sr20 swap. I don't even want to go over $3500...

But if you have any suggestions, I'm open to listen

If I was looking for 230whp I'd upgrade to a 255 Walbro, an FMU, e-mance ecu tune, possibly some 370cc injectors, z32 fuel filter.. for fuel and ignition.

still, you'd need a clutch (considerable hp increase over stock), the manifold, exhaust from the turbo back, a wastegate, *I'd throw on an IC for added protection*, and a blow off valve.

i'm tired man, you're lucky i happened to feel like typing something lol oh btw Sport Compact did a write-up on a budget Ka-t a while back, I learned some of this in the mag.. here's the link

http://www.sportcompactcarweb.....html

and also, 12whp per pound of boost doesn't apply to all turbos, so..
