Rebuilding your engine & turbocharging it under $2000 will be very difficult, if not impossible.

hmmm i was just looking at rebuild kits and they r only like 400? that leaves 1600 for turbo kit? im not counting labor or anything im just looking to buy it

i saw some kits on ebay... ya an ebay kit for like 1200 should be better than 800 kits? lol then i would have to find something for fuel managment... cause i want to push like 15psi.... ya... im asking the impossible i know...

so i would prolly just be better off buyin a full swap sr for 2k?

The problem with eBay kits is that their quality is not that great.Their turbos are prone to failure, as is their manifolds.

SR is a viable choice if you only want 200hp to start off with, if you want more, you'll have to upgrade injectors, fuel pump, etc...

If you want to go with a T3, JGS has a great kit to start off with.

http://jgsturbo.com/index2.htmlGo there and click on "240SX KA24E & KA24DE Products"They have a great starter kit.

Next you'll need an ECU tune, larger fuel pump, larger injectors, exhaust, intercooler, boost gauge, and a few other things I might've missed.

As for the tune, I'm running an EFISpecialist tune with no problems, including Chris28 and a few other people on this forum.

Good luck!
