So, let's say... for prosperity's sake, that I'm considering the option of turbocharging my car. Lots of things to consider: which one to use, how much it will cost, does it come with absolutely EVERYTHING I would need, how much will it cost to have someone install it, what gas am I going to have to use from now on, etc.

Anybody got any insight?

Take a look at what kit you're interested in and ask the supplier what it comes with. Usually they come with pretty much everything, the "pretty much" being that they usually don't include the fuel upgrades you'll need (injectors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, piggyback computer).

Install price varies. It's several hours of labor, so take whatever the shop charges per hour and multiply it by 6-10.

You'll need to use premium if you go turbo.

I'm not sure what the trend is in turbocharging right now as far as who is making the best kit. I'm working on a giant B15 parts list, so I'll be looking that up in the next few days.

I forgot to mention that you'll need at least a 2.5in catback exhaust, and, preferably, a 3in catback with a high-flow cat in order to let a turbo car breath.

Don't forget a better clutch. You'll slip the stock one for sure when adding boost.

Ha, I'm forgetting things left and right today.

Anyway, that's true unless it's a very low-boost setup, which wouldn't really be worth your time anyway.

oh yeah, basic boost set ups are usually just to get you started. i was gonna post Turbonetics basic set up but their website is fubared today.

to expand on what nametakennow said their basic setup includes an SAFC2 which will work but you really would want to use a better Piggy backing solution which costs about 600 more.

a typical ball park turbo set up costs about 3k without labor.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured. Out of my price range for awhile. Oh well.
